About the History of Education Project

The History of Education Project was established in Durham in 1982.

The Project was a registered charity, number 1079333. It was staffed by volunteers, and was housed in the Miners’ Hall, Red Hill, Durham City DH1 4BB under the directorship of Professor Gordon Batho. Although the HEP has been wound up as a charity, some of our publications may still be available for sale on application.
